The Russian government will allocate 6 billion rubles to support airports in the central and southern regions. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a cabinet meeting.
We have already allocated about 27 billion rubles to support airports that have temporarily suspended civilian flights. These funds were used to pay salaries to employees, save jobs and develop infrastructure in major cities such as Krasnodar, Anapa, Belgorod and Simferopol, Mishustin noted.
"Today, on July 17th, we will additionally allocate another 6 billion rubles. These funds will help airports operate smoothly and prepare faster for the resumption of flights when the situation improves," the Prime Minister added.
